Stories sometimes have a way of finding us. Such is the case with John Paul Schafer and his artwork.

We were introduced to John by a friend of a friend. As we got to know John and got exposed to his artwork we could see the story developing.

It started with John needing a simple video for a project he was working on to help him move his artwork further. We saw it as a story that needed to be told. along with the back story of how he paints, where it comes from, the drive he has and his inspiration.

With interviews from some of his mentors, and one on one interviews with John, this documentary takes you into the mind of a painter to understand how he paints. We document how he paints, and you will see a painting come to life in his studio as we time lapse a painting from beginning to end.

If you have ever wondered just how a painter moves paint from a canister to canvas to make something come alive, this documentary will help you understand a painters thought process.
