We have worked with the Amana Colonies for several years producing a number of commercials for their yearly festivals. So, when they asked us to tell their story of what makes them unique, and a destination that people need to experience, we were all in.

The challenge was showing how a group of colonies, located just outside of Cedar Rapids, IA. and only a few hours away from many major cities in the Midwest, would be a destination for people to visit. It’s a different pace. A different feeling. It’s communal at it’s roots, and hand-crafted in everything they make. From the woolen mill to the furniture, to the ever popular beer.

And don’t forget the wine. There are several winery’s in Amana. And one of them, Ackerman Winery, commissioned us to tell their story while we were making the Amana Stories.

We seem to find these stories every where we look.
